Founders Chris and Marilyn began their business largely in the former Township of Osgoode and Dundas County, however now the company is renowned for its quality workmanship all over the National Capital area.

Vriend Construction has been a member in good standing with Tarion Warranty Corporation (Ontario New Home Warranties Plan) for over 30 years. Tarion licenses home builders to ensure they abide by provincial legislation and fulfill their warranty obligations for the homes they build.
Vriend Construction has been chosen as a finalist in the Tarion Award of Excellence in the small volume builder category and has also been nominated for the award in subsequent years. Fewer than five per cent of Ontario’s registered builders qualify for the Tarion Awards of Excellence, which are based upon stringent criteria. Finalists for these awards are chosen following interviews of homeowners and are conducted by an independent research organization.

Vriend Construction was part of the construction team that completed the interior of the CTC, formerly known as the Palladium, home of the Ottawa Senators. Vriend was the company of choice to install the rink board system, which they have installed in numerous arenas as far away as Bathurst, New Brunswick.

We first worked with Vriend Construction to renovate our family home. It was a big undertaking and the result was such a great success that we had no hesitation in hiring them again when it came time to build our commercial building. I find the really nice thing about working with Chris is that he’s open to ideas and he’ll give you straight answers – there are no hidden costs and no surprises. He also makes great suggestions – such as changes to the building exterior that ensured it looked appealing and fit in with the surrounding community.
